half awake

the moment I knew the world is jigsaw jointed 

a mother reads her child’s life as she does their callouses.

the idea of eternity petrifies me

And notice how your burnt tongue feels,

melting pot, so tempting,

The only time I smoke cigarettes is when I’m homesick.

I used to float away so often.

I long for a time I’ve never known,
